Polydoxical Music is an exploration of the diversity in styles, approaches, opinions, and practices in music. It is the openness and potential appreciation of a genre one has not listened to before; or of a listening technique one has not tried before; or of a musical idea one has dismissed before; or of a musical tradition one has not participated in before.
One of the key themes for this blog is semiotic conveyance, regarding diverse thought, in music. One of the other key themes is the use of voice in composition. This includes traditional vocal techniques, extended vocal techniques, and the use of spoken voice. So, you will find here a record of the development of my aesthetic and practical understandings of such. This will be shown through my research and compositions.
